Firstly, in order to assess the growth (height and weight), we need the exact date of birth and his height and weight during birth.  Also accurate method should be used to determine the height. Considering that the height that you have provided is correct, then for his age height is ok but the weight seems little over. He has touched the line of overweight and it needs to be controlled.

It is not possible for children to do dieting as an adult, then how can we maintain the weight. Firstly we can start with giving balanced diet. I mean reduce the food that has high carbohydrate and add foods with rich protein. Second Provide the food in plate system i.e. divide the plate into 4 parts and in that 4 parts, put 1 part rice, 1 part daal and remaining 2 parts vegetables. Third reduce the tv, laptop, mobile watching time, only 1 hour per day. Fourth have some exercise plan for your child. Also reduce the amount of banana in fruits as it helps to gain weight.

If still you have concern, you can consult a doctor for overweight problem. Because it may need some tests to identify the actual problem.

In Nepal we follow the growth chart recommended by WHO. And here is your child growth index
