Meira Rai
After graduation, Meira Ria started working at a clothing company - Pozak as designer. After that she worked with Sabah Nepal as designer. Meria Ria has created and designed Nepali Barnamala and Swormala flashcard illustration for Babou et nani Limited, London. She also won first prize for T-shirt design for Butta and runner up at t-shirt print design competition for Juju. She has also illustrated for a book "kasari school janchau" for company Amuse.
After being happily married to her love of life, Meria Rai left former designer post at Sabah Nepal in Kathmandu and started teaching at a school in Birgunj. When she was blessed with a child, she started to capture the sweet and bitter moments of her parenting in the drawings to cherish them forever. Thus came the idea of "mero pregnancy diary" and "mero motherhood diary". In future, she hopes that these drawings shall be a medium for her to relive those precious moments again.
Currently she is offering her own merchandise sets which includes tote bags, tees and coffee mugs with her design.
